For bare-boats, the best spot to anchor is in Tongue Bay, and tender into the beach to begin the short walk up the hill to the lookout across Hill Inlet and Whitehaven Beach and back down the other side to secluded Betty’s Beach, at the tip of Hill Inlet. In 1879 The staff commander EP Bedwell discovered this beach and named it White Haven. it’s a enjoyable beach with clear waters, white sand. It is necessary to bring you a tent or go with a company that provides one as there is no natural shade despite the green you see in the photos. But indeed this is paradise beach & incredible never beautiful as this one. There is no fresh water etc available on the beach, so make sure you bring what you need!
